The kitchen bar stools in your home may be among the most used seats in the house. It’s not uncommon to see a child sitting there doing their homework while mom or dad is preparing breakfast or dinner. Often, while leaving the “at work” mode and entering the “at home” mode, the kitchen bar stool is a convenient place to sit and sort the mail while having a snack or drink. Good friends will often sit on the bar stools in the kitchen in order to converse with us better as we finish getting a meal ready, and then the children will take over the bar stools as the adults move to the dinning table for the meal.
As homes with larger kitchens have become more and more popular, many homes now have a kitchen/dining area with overhang counters. Thus the kitchen bar stool has become increasingly more popular.
There are many designs to choose from. In fact, there are so many different kinds of kitchen bar stools, that it can become a challenge to decide which style is best for you. How tall should they be? Should they have a back? Should they have arms? Should they swivel? Should your kitchen bar stools be made of wood, metal, wrought iron, or something else? The answers to some of these questions are easy to determine while others are purely choices of preference.
As mentioned above, most kitchen bar stools get a lot of use, and that means a lot of abuse! So you may want to select stools that are made of materials that can withstand the inevitable. For kitchen use, avoid stools that are made from soft woods, this is especially true if the stools have a back or arms. With the high volume of traffic that many kitchens get, these stools would get scratched very quickly. You might consider wrought iron, stainless steel, aluminum, chrome, or a hard wood.
Generally, it is recommended to allow 12 inches from the top of the stool cushion to the bottom of the counter or table. If you select kitchen bar stools with arms, make sure the top of the arms will slide under the table or counter. The cushions for your stools should be able to handle regular use. If you choose either leather or vinyl for your kitchen bar stool cushions, avoid the temptation to get a thin grade.
When choosing kitchen bar stools, think outside the kitchen. In other words, where else might the stools be used? Might they be used in the TV or game room on occasion? If this is something you expect to happen, select a stool that is light enough to be easily moved. The heavier they are, the more likely they are to be dragged over your floors.
In our fast paced lives, we don’t often sit down at the table to eat. Instead of carrying food to the table, we grab the nearest stool and have a quick bite on our way out in the morning. We often do the same thing when we are coming home in the evening, since we often have to turn around and go back out.

“Organic” has some quite specific legal definitions in most developed countries.
In the U.S, all farms or products claiming to be “certified organic” must be guaranteed by a USDA-approved independent agency to be meeting the following guidelines:
* Sound records kept of all operations
* No use of antibiotics or hormones in livestock
* No use of genetically modified organisms
* No irradiation
* Use sound soil conservation and crop rotation practice
* And most importantly, that there has been no useage of prohibited materials within 3 years prior to certification, or at any time during certification.
The USDA defines ‘prohibited materials’ as synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and sewage sludge. It is also a requirement that there is no cross-contamination during processing, which means organic wheat for example cannot be ground in a flour factory that also handles non-organic material.
Produce grown organically certainly tastes better than the usual supermarket stock. It also contains higher levels of nutrients and far lower residual pesticides. You can read all the latest Organic Food articles and research at http://www.ge-free.com/
In general food grown free of pesticides, herbicides and genetically modified organisms (GMO) is organic to some extent. Certified organic food is that which meets the strict criteria of the USDA as described above. Most countries have their own version of regulation.
Organic food can be classified into two groups, fresh and processed.
There are many additional requirements for certification of processed organic food:
* contains a minimum percentage of organic ingredients.
* has no added artificial ingredients like preservatives etc.
* is processed free of artificial methods like chemical ripening or irradiation.
Most processed organic food is now available in supermarkets. There are also organic only stores in most large cities now, and there will be many more similar stores as the production of certified organic food increases.

Along with lip-smacking sweetness, flower and foliage are also worthy reasons to grow blueberries. White, bell-shaped blossoms make a lovely addition to a spring garden and fiery scarlet foliage adds drama to a fading autumn landscape. In addition to taste and appearance, blueberries are ripe with medical advantages; they help lower cholesterol and studies suggest that blueberries also reduce the risk of some cancers.
Types of Blueberries
1. Highbush blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum) are those usually found in the produce department of your grocery. As you might expect, they are named because the bushes grow to 6-feet in height. Fruits are large, from ½ to an inch in diameter. Depending on variety, highbush blueberries are hardy from Zones 4 through 11.
2. Lowbush blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium) generally reach no more than 18-inches in height. Propagated from shoots spread through underground runners, lowbush blueberries form low mats of plants that produce best on a two-year cycle. The first year is the growth year and the second year is the fruiting year. The sweet, quarter-inch fruits of lowbush blueberries commonly are known as Wild Blueberries and are hardy in Zones 3 through 6.
3. Half-high blueberries (V. corymbosum x V. angustifolium) are a hybrid between lowbush and highbush cultivars. Although shorter than high-bush blueberries, half-high grow in much the same way as their taller relatives. Taste and size meet halfway between highbush and lowbush. An extra advantage for the northern grower is that half-high blueberries were especially bred to withstand the heavy snowfalls and cold winters of inland North America and are hardy to Zone 3.
4. Rabbiteye blueberries (Vaccinium ashei), native to the Southeastern United States, are the tallest of the blueberry bushes, reaching up to 10-feet in height. Because of their thick skins, rabbiteye blueberries are able to withstand southern heat in zones seven through nine.
Site Selection
All types of blueberries grow best in full sun. Plants tolerate partial shade, but production declines as shade increases. Blueberries are shallow rooted and poor competitors against large rooted trees, shrubs, and weeds that compete for water, nutrients, and crowd airways necessary to good blueberry production.
The most important element is growing blueberries is soil composition. To make the most of your blueberry planting, begin necessary soil amendments the year before planting. Blueberries grow best in loose, sandy loam. Although you may run across wild blueberries growing in a bog, on closer inspection you’ll see that plants grow on small, natural hills.
Blueberries need moisture retentive, well-drained, humus-rich soil with good aeration. Soil acidity is also very important in growing blueberries. Plants need a pH of 4.0 to no more than 5.0 to thrive. Initially, bring the pH down to acceptable levels with sulphur or 4 to 6 inches of acid peat mixed into the first 6 to 8 inches of topsoil. Also, enrich soil with good organic compost.
Planting blueberries
Although most blueberries self-pollinate, plant two or more varieties within a type for a larger harvest of more voluptuous fruits. Five plants provide enough blueberries for fresh eating, drying, and preserving for a family of four.
Plant blueberries in spring after all danger of frost passes. When growing several plants, you may find it easier to prepare a bed rather than digging holes for individual plants. Add a generous portion of peat moss to your trench or hole both to increase the organic content and to ensure continued soil acidity.
Standard spacing for highbush, half-high, and rabbiteye bushes is five to six feet apart in rows eight to ten feet distant. Dig holes or make your row three to four inches deeper than the size of the root balls. Pack soil firmly around the roots of each plant.
Plant lowbush varieties one to three feet apart in rows three to four feet distant. Cover about a third of the top stems with soil to encourage runners to develop.
Once established, a blueberry bush may remain productive for decades with just a minimum of care. The second part of this article is available on the www.gardening-guides.com. The site Linda writes for.

So you are looking in the mirror this morning and what did you see?? Was it white bright beautiful teeth, or like the best part of the population were they looking a little dull?
Like most things in life teeth gradually fade to yellow in color. If you are an avid coffee, tea or red wine drinker then this will accelerate the process and may also stain your teeth.
It seems that almost every cosmetic company has tried to monopolize this industry with everything from whitening toothpaste to whitening strips. But there are only really two main options.
Take-home whitening systems using trays and whitening gel or in-office, for immediate whitening results using a light activated gel to brighten teeth.
How are the procedures used?
Take Home whitening kits
Take-home whitening has become wildly popular in recent times due to its flexibility and lower cost to in-house teeth whitening. The trade off is that it takes slightly longer to achieve the desired results (anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks)
This is accomplished by using a custom-made tray that is then layered with a prescription whitening gel 30mins to several hours at a time (dependent on how sensitive your teeth are).
Your dentist will make an appointment with you to take a custom impression which will then be used as a mold to make custom trays.
Once the whitening trays are ready you will have another appointment with your dentist where he will test them for a proper fit. Also the dentist will show the patient how to use the trays in conjunction with the whitening gel.
The whitening trays are quite comfortable to wear and can easily be placed in before bedtime and taken out in the morning.
Usually you will also be given a tooth mouse which you apply after using the trays to help alleviate sensitive teeth that some people get when using the gels.
In-Office Whitening.
There are several in-office whitening systems on the market but for the scope of this article we will only discuss Zoom Tooth Whitening
The Zoom! Whitening Procedure
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! Clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, this is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment competes the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
How The Zoom! Works
The Zoom! Light activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! Light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.
Who is eligible for tooth whitening?
Well that is just a matter of preference really, anyone who would like to whiten their teeth by up to ten shades. It is very common among wedding parties for nice white bright wedding photos. But it really does appeal to everyone.
Cost
The cost can vary from place to place but for take-home whitening this can be around $450 and in-house whitening using zoom can range from $500 - $1000 depending on the procedure used.
There are many different ways to obtain that beautiful whiter smile but if you want to get the best value for your money visit your local dentist and ask about it.

There are usually 2 ways of deep frying in Chinese cooking:
Deep frying the ingredients directly
Deep frying the ingredients with batter
The latter is the most commonly used method. Here are some pointer in how to deep fry Chinese food most effectively.
The sizes of the ingredient pieces should be uniform.
The dimensions, including the thickness of the pieces that you are frying should be as close as you can get them. Otherwise, some pieces will be overcooked, some will be undercooked, and even the colors will be different piece by piece.
Marinade the ingredients in the batter/paste
This will enhance the taste and the aroma of your cooking.
Maintain adequate oil temperature
The oil temperature require for each dish will vary depending on the ingredient types, sizes, batters, wraps, etc. For those not easily cooked through, they will require cooking twice (see below). For those easily cooked through, it can be done simply in high heat.
When deep frying, maintaining constant oil temperature is a must. Most idealy, the ingredients need to be put in together. If you are cooking large servings, then divide them up, but still put each divided servings in together to get the same taste and color. Once done, pick them up with a strainer to preserve the appearance.
Deep fry Twice on ingredients that are not easily fried
Some dishes like the ones that require chicken or fish rolled into balls are not easily cooked through when deep frying. So these will require deep frying them twice. The first time using medium heat until 70, 80% cooked. Take them out, crank up the heat to high, then deep fry them again to achieve the desired results.

(Channelled) (This communication with Joseth happened more than a year ago, while I was focused on bringing money into my life. Apparently I still haven’t managed to manage my thoughts correctly to bring all the money into my life that I desire. However I will say that this is the first time in years that my bills are all paid and I do have a positive balance in my savings account. If there is one thing that I have really learned from this session, that is the importance of knowing exactly what I want.)
In the text below, it is a Q&A session where the initial “J” is for Joseth and “R” for Roy.
Good morning Roy, good morning Joseth.
J… Roy, why are you doing this?
R…Doing What?
J…Writing at your kitchen table every morning.
R…Because, I want to, I want to express myself.
J…Then why am I expressing myself?
R…I want to do both. I want to communicate with the other parts of me. I also want to share this exprience with others. I want to open up the doors for them, so that they can do the same thing.
J…Why?
R…So that they can begin to create a life that is more enjoyable. less stressful.
J…Has this helped you?
R…Yes
J…Is your life less stressful?
R…Yes
J…Are you more joyfull?
R…Somewhat.
J…Do you have more abundance in your life?
R…No
J…So as I understand it, you want more abundance and joy in your life and you have been writing for more than three years and yet you have failed to create the things that you desire, am I correct?
R…Yes
J…Roy, what’s your problem?
R…I don’t know
R…I have been asking you for your help for the last four years. You tell me what it is that I am missing, why am I not getting what I desire?
J…Roy, you are you are getting all of it. You have all of it, you do not see it?
R…Now you got it! I do not see it, I can not touch it and I do not feel it.
J…You can not see the forest for the trees, you asked for abundance, you got abundance, you are abundantly aware!
R…Cute! But my abundance is not paying the bills! I have no money.
J…Then why didn’t you ask for money, or even the experience of no bills?
R…I thought I did, I thought abundance meant lots of money.
J…Da! Think again. You must be specific in your request. Be careful what you ask for. You asked for abundance, you have been seeking awareness, you have an abundance of awareness. Did you or did yo not get what you asked for?
R…Yes, but it’s not what I meant.
J…Do you always say what you do not mean?
R…Apparently so, I wasted four years expecting to have money and because I was not clear in what I really wanted, I did not get it. I got what I asked for but not what I desired?
J…Yes, “Now you got it.” You must be specific and very clear about what it is you want to create.
R…So now I have to wait another four years for money?
J…No, you did not have to wait four years for the abundance you now have either, you are still creating an abundance of awareness and that will continue.
J…Roy, ask for money, think about creating money and you will have money. The awareness you now have can be converted to cash. Use it to created all the money you desire. Start now and focus on money. What it is with you people? You always believe that having money is bad. You try to be nobel or deserving in your approach to asking me for money, ie “If I were rich I would give it away, I would do this for this group, this person, etc, etc. You put them first. But what you really mean, what your real root thought is “I want money for me.” “I want to spend it on me first.” Roy, it’s OK to want money for yourself first, and then give away part of the surplus or what you don’t need. It is the dishonesty that you have with you own thoughts that stops you from getting what you desire. You must be 100% honest with yourself about what you desire. You do not have to be deserving or generous or pre-qualify in any way. You only have to know that you want it, that it is your desire to possess it for whatever reason you choose. Stop trying to cover up your true thoughts, they are betraying you. Stop trying to be so noble and generous with something that you do not have. Create the money first, then you can afford to be noble and generous with it.
R…Would that not appear to be selfish?
J…So what? Be selfish first by all means, then you can afford to be generous later. YOU CANNOT GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU DO NO POSSESS. It does not matter how others would see you. It is not working now, what does being selfless have to do with it? How is being selfless benefiting anyone right now, are you giving away selflessness?
J…Always, always, always think about yourself first. Know what you desire for yourself. Create it for you own purposes, then give what you have away it that is your desire. What does it take to see how practical that is? You cannot let others interfer with manifesting what you desire simple because you want to appear more deserving. You have tried it, it doesn’t work. Their opinions do not matter in this matter. I am sure that once you have your abundance (money) there will be no less amount of opinions on how you should spend it.
J…Roy, do you now understand?
R…Yes I understand.
J…Are you going to manifest money in your life?
R…Yes!
J…When?
R…Now, it is mine now!
J…”Good, now you got it.”
Live well and prosper Joseth
[As I mentioned at the top of this dialogue, money has been coming in, still much slower than I would like to see it. I have attracted some from different sources so it is like a river that has smaller tributaries merging into it in small amounts, it has not reached the ocean yet, but that is were my focus is. I have to overcome a lifetime of negative thought that says I’m not deserving. As I chisel away at those the successes become more frequent. Conscious manifesting does work to the degree that you believe it will, Joseth was correct]
